Adult Art Education
Whether it’s painting, pottery, drawing or basketry, these classes help you
rediscover (or discover for the first time!) your creativity and passion for the arts.
New classes begin regularly and we’re happy to take requests!
Art Pass Classes
Art education especially for junior and senior high school students. Take an afternoon to
experience tye-dye, painting, photography or one of our other popular topics. Classes meet
monthly during the school year. See the calendar for topics and dates.

Astronomy Club
Come see the stars! Leonardo's Astronomy Club--"Star Quest"--meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7 pm CST or 8 pm Daylight Savings Time at Leonardo's. Club membership is just $25 per year or $15 if you're a museum member. Visitors are always welcome to attend one meeting for free. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older. Two tools are used to aid in learning more about Astronomy. Leonardo's has a 16" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope located outside at Adventure Quest and the Star Lab portable planetarium used inside Leonardo's. It is also available to travel to schools or groups for onsite field trips or meetings. Leonardo's resident astronomer and Astronomical League Coordinator is Bob Killam. Bob can be reached at x110 at Leonardo's or email giftshop@leonardos.org for more information. Come and join Star Quest as we learn more about the universe we live in!
Discovery Saturday Classes
Save one Saturday morning a month for Discovery! These interactive classes are designed for
child/adult teams to enjoy together. Each month’s class features a different topic,
such as lakes and rivers, fireworks or reptiles and offers a bit of history, science and art
appropriate for young children from ages 4-10. Each class lasts approximately one hour.
Family Nights
Join us for a hot meal and an evening of family fun at the museum. Family Nights occur monthly, usually on the third Thursday. Come have a hot, nutritious meal, play in the museum and enjoy special programming—each month features a new theme and different community partners. Cost is just $2 per person, $1 for members. See the calendar for menu and program details. Reservations are requested, please. |
